Ten To Follow 2009
Last year’s entrants had the fun (and frustration!) of following their selections throughout the season and our winner, Stuart Robinson, had the satisfaction of scooping a well-earned £200 to go with his Champion Rider trophy. It was probably the first time in history that a jockey turned out to be a good tipster! This year we are asking for as many of you as possible to support the competition because the more entries we receive the bigger the prize fund will get.
It’s fun, offers plenty of interest at every meeting and is easy to enter. Simply pick 10 horses from the list of South East Area qualified point to pointers printed in this on this page. Did any horses catch your eye last year? Were there a couple of horses that looked a bit unlucky not to win? Did you see any at Detling last month who are going to make a name for themselves? If so, put your hunches to good use. It only costs £5 per list to enter and you can send in as many lists as you like. Why not enter lists for all the family? It could keep the youngsters occupied adding up their points on race days and that’s got to be £5 very well spent!
Points are accumulated as before, 10pts for a winner, 6pts for a second and 2 points for a third with a bonus of 10 points if you select a winner with an SP of 10-1 or bigger. The competition covers all point to points and hunter chases in Britain up to and including the Parham meeting on Saturday 16th..
So, please be positive, get your pen out now and support this Club’s competition - if you’re not in it you can’t win it! The closing date for entries is 21st February 2009. Entries should be submitted by Club Members but can be made in the name of friends and family.
If you are not entering directly via the website, send your name, address, ‘phone number and entries (10 horses names per list) to:
