Stuart Robinson
Reigning SE champion jockey Stuart Robinson has four of his own horses in trainer Gina Weare’s yard.
LORD ATTERBURY: “We hope to start with him in January at Higham or Detling. He’s OK at the moment, but who knows by then!” Lord Atterbury was favourite for the 2004 Cheltenham Foxhunters, but was pulled-up behind the winner Earthmover. Just over two weeks later he was third in the Grand National. He won three point-to-points in the West Country in 2003, and was second at Higham in January this year after joining Stuart.
MAGNUS VERITAS, who won at Charing last season, is expected to resume at Detling.
PARZANDO, winner of a Maiden at Charing last season, “will start somewhere in January hopefully. He is currently drag hunting every week.”
CONTROL MAN “spends his life wrapped in cotton wool but is determined to hurt himself at any given moment. If the lucky charm should work then he will start at Detling.” The ten-year-old hasn’t been since since running in the 2007 Cheltenham Foxhunters, where he was among the also-rans with Carryonharry and Honourable Spider.
TURNSTILE, who won the Men’s Open at Charing on Feb 24th, is injured and will miss the season.
BEE AN BEE is in work and fine fettle – DCR is riding him most days and what price him getting a license to thrill again??
