148cm & under Open
1st Strongbow - Maryann Cushen
2nd Tennants Super - Aaron Chave
3rd Little Quaker - Chloe Willett
4th Flash IV - Lizzy Norman

Onto Plumpton Racecourse for Sunday's Open finals and again some fast and furious racing. This time in the 138cm finals the order was reversed and George Crate (Covenham Generation) came home victorious by half a length from Tabitha on Goldsborough Moonlight Mist. Third was Charlotte Cheesman on HayneValley Peek a Boo who just got a nose in front of Charlie Marshall and Rio. The 148cm race held a little more drama as Chloe Willett was unseated from a very keen Little Quaker on her way to the start. Having been checked by the medics Chloe was reunited with her mount and rode well to take third. But the victors of the day were Team Harrison/Dean whose ponies took first and second spots – a double for Maryann and Strongbow who came home 1 ¾ lengths ahead of Aaron Chave on Tenants Super. An unfortunate jink after the line left Aaron on the deck but we are pleased to report he suffered nothing more than bruising.
